I was a bit hesitant as Chris and I board our planes to Geneva. With all the snow I’ve been hearing, I was afraid I would be indoor bound for most of this leg of the trip. Chris says, “But the whole country hasn’t seen snow like this in 10 years”. Comforting news. We reach Neuchâtel in under an hour, and proceed to Serrières, the part of Neuchâtel that belongs to the old.
The wanna-be cool kids stay in the middle of the town. But Chris and Jason (room mate and co-worker), are way cooler than the cool kids, and smarter. And after partying, they can at least get away from all the noise of being in the middle of the town. And boy do the Neuchâtelians (?) party. Except today. No young, able-bodied person is staying back in Neuchâtel. “They’re being ski bunnies for the weekend”, Chris tells me.
Well, at least I get to enjoy the town all to myself.
