Do your best and forget the rest: a P90X (ongoing) story
The roots of true achievement lie in the will to become the best that you can become.
Harold Taylor
My P90X collection has been buried in dust on my bookshelf, mentally taunting me all these years, as I recall a 2 A.M. TV infomercial impulse buy that I made some time ago in 2006-2007. Instead of picking up the phone and forking in $140, I went on eBay and snagged the same exact program (brand new) for a significantly lower price.
It wasn’t until earlier this year that I mentally battled with myself into actually starting AND finishing the program. I’ve tried in the past without much success; I never even made it past the fit test (nor pass it).
This time is different however. I’ve spent the last month preparing for the program (including the proper gear, attire, nutrition, supplements, and attitude) with the hope to finally be able to do handstands and eat tacos at the same time in the end.
Come join me in this journey and see whether I stay or fall off the bandwagon this time.
